Open eTwinning (MOOC) - Challenge 3

As a primary teacher, I am worried about the use of social networks that have the students of 5º and 6º of primary school. They can not officially use them but we are aware that they often use them.

Therefore, I want to make a annual project with 24 childrens of 10 years old about cyberbullying which objectives are:

• Make aware about the use of social netwoks.
• Conduct a school campaign against cyberbullying.

All members of the eTwinning project will follow a similar methodology: cooperative work (groups of 4 students). Also, they will develop a school campaign against cyberbullying that they will share with all their Europeans peers.

Although the project lasts all the school year, there will be a compulsory monthly activity common to al members. The project is included in the following subjects: computer class, language and social sciences.

There will be an agreement with the local television, from each city that take part in the project, to show during the advertising the cyberbullying campaign carried out by our students.

GENERAL DETAILS

I want to make an annual project with 24 spanish childrens of 10 years old about cyberbullying. Also, in this project will participate 5 classes of European students. All of them will have between 10 to 12 years old.

OBJETIVES

• Make aware about the use of social netwoks.
• Conduct a school campaign against cyberbullying.
• Improve english competences.
• Know the way to make a video.
• Develop digital skills.

WORK PROCESS

The project lasts all the school year, there will be a compulsory monthly activity common to all members. The main teacher of each schools will have a fluence communication with his/her partners before, during and after all the activities. All members of the eTwinning project will follow a similar methodology: cooperative work (groups of 4-5 students).

EXPECTED RESULTS

The students of the five countries will develop an english and native language school campaign against cyberbullying that they will share with all their Europeans peers.Also, the teachers will talk with the local tv, from each city that take part in the project, to show during the advertising the cyberbullying campaign carried out by our students. Of course, the english campaign is for the project and the native language campaign is for the television.
